Gevalia Kaffe Review and Giveaway

I'm a coffee lover, and I've passed that on to my kids already...they ask for "coffee milk" with breakfast! I was thrilled to get the chance to try new Gevalia Kaffe, thanks to Kraft and My Blog Spark. I was given two Gevalia products to try - the French Roast and the House Blend, along with this Gevalia mug.

I love robust and strong coffee, and I normally drink Bold or Extra Bold coffee from Starbucks. The Gavalia French Roast is their dark roast and the House Blend is a medium roast.

I started off trying the Gevalia French Roast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. It was strong and robust, and while I made it a little stronger than I normally make my Starbucks coffee, it tasted excellent.

I tried the House Blend next, and this ended up being more like I expected. The flavor was mild (translation: a little weak), and I was mostly underwhelmed.

The Verdict: The Gevalia Kaffe French Roast was a winner. I ask for bags of Starbucks for Christmas every year, so I don't buy a ton of coffee on my own. I would get this French Roast on my own; a much better grocery store option than some other coffees out there! I wouldn't buy the House Blend just because I like darker coffee, but I think it would be great for someone who prefers a more mild coffee. The bag of House Blend certainly won't go to waste in my house! I'll probably drink it when I want a cup of coffee before bed.

Win it!

My Blog Spark and Kraft Foods have provided me with a Gavalia Kaffe Prize Pack for one of you! To enter this giveaway, all you need to do is comment on this post telling me how you like your coffee. 1. Oh, I too am a big fan of coffee. I probably drink waaaay too much. I like it with cream (half and half) and sugar. I always prefer Dunkin Donuts, but recently purchased a Kirkland type that is actually roasted by Starbucks and it is quite good too. It is less expensive than the bags of D and D at this time.

  3. I am a huge coffee drinker and have tried many varieties. I mostly drink it black, so dark and bold are usually just right. Occassionally I like to use some of the favored sugar free cream.Sometimes I drink coffee all day.

  7. I love to drink my coffee in my cinnamon Fiesta coffee cup. I use a few tablespoons of half and half and a dash of stevia. I am due with baby in a month and gagged at the smell of coffee until last month. Made some for DH one day and had to have some. Now I am drinking it about every other day again like before I was pregnant. One cup Can NOT hurt right? Moderation :) for this coffee addict!

  8. I love Gevalia. My favorite blends are Le Procope (which is very smooth but flavorful) and the Breakfast blend (which is strong but not too much). I haven't tried the French Roast in a long time--but would love to. I'll take it black, please. :) The House blend sounds like it would be a good all-around coffee, particularly for guests., who seem to prefer more mild varieties. Thanks for the chance to enter!

  10. Coffee is a daily must for me. I drink it simply with some hazelnut creamer. If I have some money to splurge with, I enjoy the Godiva line of coffee. =)
