(a cooler/tote bag and ice cream pop making set)
If you have been reading this blog for a while, you probably know that I enjoy making my own yogurt, and have done so for some time. But there are times when I've suffered from yogurt burnout...I've gotten bored of my homemade stuff, and through the pregnancy had times when I really craved store bought yogurt. At the top of my list of store bought yogurt is totally Raspberry Mousse by Yoplait whips! So when Yoplait told me that a great way to cool down during the summer heat is to pop a yogurt container in the fridge overnight I was all about it. My Raspberry Mousse yogurt was A-MAZ-ING; an icy and refreshing treat.
I'm all about being thrifty, and homemade yogurt is way more cost effective than the stuff in the store, but I also enjoy indulging every now and then. Yoplait usually has several coupons and sales out there, so while I don't make a habit of buying yogurt at the store, I am by no means a "homemade yogurt only" person!
My daughter and I made good use of the cooler tote bag on a recent picnic, and while I haven't gotten to make the freezer pops yet, they will be used this week!
MyBlogSpark and Yoplait have given me a prize pack just like I have to giveaway! If you would like to enter in this giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me about your favorite yogurt. Disclosure: I was provided with a Yoplait whips! prize pack by MyBlogSpark and Yoplait in return for my honest evaluation and review of the product. All opinions are 100% my own.
Yoplait whips! are the reason I started eating yogurt in the first place. I couldn't stomach the idea of eating something with live bacteria in it, but for some reason, the whipped texture got me past my aversion. I recently branched out, though, and discovered a new favorite: Stonyfield Farm's French Vanilla. It's creamy, not too sweet or too tart, and (bonus!) organic/all natural. It's only really cost-effective if you find it on sale or buy the big tub, though, as the little cups retail 99 cents each! I can buy the big tubs now, though, since my little boy eats yogurt too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI adore the peach flavored yogurt, and also the bakery flavours.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Yoplait products and have been for a long time. I always try to buy it when its on sale and do major coupon match-ups so I can stock up...I'm talking 20-30 containers at a time. I haven't done the homemade yogurt thing....just milk/yogurt kefir at this point. Thanks for the giveaway. One of my favorite flavors is Key Lime Pie (light version usually)...one of my son loves the "green yogurt" too. The Greek yogurt is quite yummy and very filling since its packed with protein, but its much more expensive.
ReplyDeleteI love yoplait. Although usually I'm a thick and creamy gal. Never thought to freeze them though. My favorite tend to be the tart flavors. I'm a key lime and lemon meringue girl.

My favorite is Yoplait whips chocolate. Although I have recently become a fan of the Greek-style yogurt :)

I also love the Yoplait Greek yogurt, but usually don't get it because it's so pricey - you should figure out a recipe for homemade Greek yogurt BA!!
ReplyDeleteMy ultimate favorite is Yoplait original pear flavor, it has little pieces of pear in it, and is so yummy and different from any other flavor!
Pretty much any vanilla yogurt. Perhaps specifically the Yoplait Thick and Creamy Vanilla.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy making chocolate yogurt for a healthy snack. Just take 1/2 cup of greek yogurt (my new fav), and add 1/2 teasp of cocoa, 1/4 teasp. of vanilla extract, and 1 packet of equal. It is amazingly delicious, and a good, filling snack to get you through until dinner. You can totally adjust this to make other flavors (leaving out the cocoa pwdr.) and add lemon or lime zest, or substitute almond extract. I don't know why they have not thought of manufacturing the greek yogurt in chocolate yet, but maybe yoplait will try it now! I do also like the key lime light yoplait.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite yogurt is Yoplait Whips strawberry flavor. Every other type of yogurt has chunks of fruit in it and reminds you that you are eating yogurt (which I am not all that big a fan of). With a yogurt that is more like the texture of a light cheesecake, you forget that it's good for you because it tastes more like a dessert!
ReplyDeleteYoplait light has always been my favorite yogurt.
